Data ownership beyond argument
In a self-hosted deployment, measurement data, subscriber records and cost allocation statements live in your database. You take the backups and you set the retention period.

Start with what you need
You can begin with remote reading and billing alone. Modules such as the field app, work orders and quote management stay closed — you do not pay for what you do not use.
Add modules later
When you build a field team you add the field module; when sales grows you add quotes and approvals. Your existing data stays exactly as it is.
One data model throughout
Whichever modules are open, the data model is the same: partner, project, loop, block, unit, meter. A newly added module works with your historical data straight away.
Move between options
You can start on the cloud panel and migrate to your own servers later; your data comes with you. The reverse is possible too.

Frequently asked questions
What people ask about deployment and data
In a self-hosted deployment, do we genuinely own the data?
Yes. The database runs on your servers; access, backup and retention are under your control. NovuSoft's access to that data exists only to the extent you grant it and only for support — you can run the system without granting any access at all.
Does the panel really carry our brand?
Yes. The sign-in screen, panel logo, corporate colours, domain name and the identity on documents are adapted to your brand. Your customers use your software.
Which modules can we choose?
Remote reading, heat cost allocation and billing, the field app, work orders and faults, notifications and automation, quotes and approvals, projects and subscribers, and roles and permissions can each be selected. Reading and billing are the core modules; the rest are added as needed.
If we add a module later, is our data affected?
No. All modules share the same data model, so when a module is added your existing projects, readings and bills remain intact and start working with it immediately.
What are the server requirements?
Requirements depend on meter count and reading frequency. During the conversation we share a configuration proposal based on your portfolio, and we handle the installation and initial configuration.
How do updates work on our own servers?
New releases are delivered as packages. Your own team can apply them, or we can under a maintenance agreement — the choice is yours.
Can we start on the cloud panel and move to our own servers later?
Yes. Your data is migrated to the self-hosted installation. Moving in the other direction is possible as well.
