Do we read the meter you already have?

Reading is based on the M-Bus and wM-Bus standard rather than any manufacturer's own software. Heat meters, allocators, water and electricity meters that produce a standard telegram are read regardless of brand — you do not have to replace the devices on site. The list below covers the brands we read regularly; for anything not listed we check the telegram structure and give you a definite answer.

Brand names belong to their respective manufacturers and are used here only to show which devices are read.

Manufacturer code

An M-Bus telegram declares its manufacturer with three letters. When the label cannot be read on site, or the device is unfamiliar, that code identifies the brand for certain.

Some codes appear under more than one brand: LUG shows on both Siemens and Landis+Gyr devices, and ZRI on Zenner and Minol, which belong to the same group. In those cases the brand is resolved from the device type field of the telegram.

Devices our meter tools work with

On some brands we do more than read: we also write the module index, date and period settings. Every write is read back for verification.

Why we work brand-independently

No need to replace meters

Whatever brand is installed on a site you take over, you continue with it. Moving to remote reading does not mean pulling out the building's meters.

Mixed brands on one project

Qundis in one block and Zenner in another is not a problem; all of them read into the same panel and the same cost allocation.

No lock-in to manufacturer software

Changing meter brand does not mean changing software. The archive and the billing side stay the same.

Adding a brand is straightforward

For a device not on the list we examine its telegram and confirm whether it can be read; if it can, it joins the list.

Questions

Do we read the meter you already have?

My brand is not on the list — can you read it?

Most likely yes. What matters is not the brand but whether the device produces a telegram conforming to EN 13757. Send us the model and we will check the telegram structure and give you a definite answer.

My meters have no module — can they still be read remotely?

A mechanical meter without a module cannot be read remotely. In that case either a communication module is fitted, or the meter is read with the field app; both feed the same panel and the same bill.

My wireless meters are encrypted — is that a problem?

No. Once the AES key is registered, the encrypted wM-Bus telegram is decoded and read. The key comes from whoever sold or installed the meter.

How is billing calculated when a project has several brands?

Brand does not affect the calculation. Wherever the reading comes from it lands in the same archive, and cost allocation is calculated in one place under the regulation's order.

Do you read electricity meters too?

Yes. On electricity meters read over RS-485 / Modbus, fields such as voltage, current, active-reactive power and power factor can be collected alongside the index.

Send us your meter model and we will answer precisely

Get in touch with the brand and model; we will confirm which protocol the device is read over, whether a module is needed and how it would be installed on your project.
